What seminary do you attend?
Immaculate Conception Seminary, Seton Hall University
An interesting thing about my life is:
I am the oldest of eight children.
Prior to the seminary I: graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in May 2008
When I want to relax or have some fun I would:When I want to relax I usually sleep or watch tv. When I want to have fun I play sports.
The first time I thought about a priestly vocation was: Sophomore year of high school, so around 2002.
How do you pray? What is your prayer life like? I like to read the Bible, say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, read some type of meditation book, and spend time with God in a simple conversation.
What excites me about being a priest is: Bringing God into people's lives and seeing what a positive affect God has on their lives.
What do you enjoy about seminary life? The fact that I am on my way to fulfilling God's will for me.
If someone is considering a vocation to the priesthood I would tell them: Continue to pray and make sure that you are doing it for God and God's will. You want to discern how your talents can be best served in spreading God's message and love.
A couple books on my shelf, CD's I own or songs I have downloaded are: My favorite artist is Jack Johnson so I have four of his CD's. I have plenty of books, but the one I read most often is the Bible. One of the last songs I downloaded was Cupid's Chokehold by Gym Class Heroes.
A Scripture passage that inspires me is:
There are so many, but my favorite is Mt 6:25–33. Here it is (shortened) "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?...Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides."
